The schools and colleges team offer a programme of activities and learning opportunities from early years to further education colleges.
Our Key Stage programme has workshops linked to QCA schemes of work, embracing innovative combinations of dance, drama, science, numeracy, literacy, storytelling and a vast range of visual arts. Our teacher-training courses focus on themes relating to the permanent collection and special exhibitions.
The team consists of three education managers, Emma Carroll, Jas Sohel and Joanne Davies and an education assistant, Alex Bird. We are also supplemented by gallery educators, such as artists, writers, performers and teachers who deliver our cross-curricular programme of workshops.
We have a wide range of activities on offer, from taught workshops and self guided materials to be used at the gallery to Artists In Schools programmes. All our work is developed in conjunction with teachers and education professionals to ensure imaginatively devised learning opportunities that meet the needs of teachers and pupils.
